The Inclusion Initiative Team invites you to join us in viewing a PBS documentary about the Sand Creek Massacre, followed by Pastor Jeremiah sharing some historical insights and facilitating a time for Q & A.
Together we will learn about what happened to the Arapahoe and Cheyenne people at Sand Creek and the contributing role of Methodists, then and now. This gathering is intended to provide space for learning, asking thoughtful questions, and hearing honest dialogue.
Date/Time: Sunday, Oct. 18th after service ends at 11:45 am-1:15 pm
Where: LPUMC Sanctuary (Snacks will be provided)
Why: Learning more about this incident invites us to reflect on our Methodist values of truth, reconciliation, justice, and loving our neighbor so that history does not repeat itself.
