MISSIONS IN OUR COMMUNITY

AND BEYOND

Why Should I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. At Longs Peak United Methodist Church we hold this value of great importance. We begin within our own community, and then spread across the nation and beyond. Church members are involved in a variety of mission opportunities.

Ministry Outreach

Longs Peak United Methodist Church is a vital congregation that actively spreads the love of God throughout our community and the world. Two of the major ways we reach out in our community is through volunteering and donating to the OUR Center and through volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. In addition we donate time and money to various organizations throughout the year.

Prayer Chain

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Through prayer we are empowered to be the hands and feet of God. Longs Peak United Methodist Church is a congregation of believers dependent upon prayer. Throughout the week, our Prayer Team pray over special requests and  prayer needs.

Missionary Relationship

Longs Peak United Methodist Church supports a social worker in the Nehru area of Nairobi, Kenya. This is through the Center for Heath and Hope. More information is available at http://centerforhealthandhope.org
